I am just a girl trekking through this life seeking personal peace, embracing love and compassion for self and others while exploring new ways to feel MY kind of healthy again…
Hey! I am Tammy!
This leg of my journey started out during a pandemic…looking for natural ways to reduce personal stress, anxiety, fatigue and to help my husband deal with chronic back pain. Through this exploration I discovered Reflexology and Reiki and all the amazing ways they have helped us both to regain balance and relief for our body and mind.
The reality is that we live in stressful times. The rising costs of living, job security, safety of our children…these things weigh on our mind daily. Unfortunately, all of this chronic worry leads to loads of stress in our bodies which in turn, leads to dis-ease. That is exactly why I am ready to bring my learnings to you as a Certified Reflexologist and Level II Reiki Practitioner and through these modalities, help you to feel YOUR kind of healthy!
I am stepping back in to wellness,
are you ready to join me?
Reflexology is a focused pressure technique, usually directed at the feet or hands. During a session, various zones and reflexes which are associated with various parts, glands, and organs, are stimulated causing the body’s natural electrical energy to work along the nervous system to clear any blockages. A session can break up deposits (felt as sandy or gritty areas beneath the skin) which may interfere with the body’s electrical energy in the nervous system and help the body to return to its natural state.
What are the benefits of Reflexology?
Enhances relaxation with the removal of stress.
Enhances circulation.
Assists the body to normalize the metabolism naturally.
Complements all other healing modalities.
Facial AcuZone Reflexology (FAZR) combines reflexology techniques with Chinese acupressure, facial massage, and lymphatic drainage applied to the face, ears, head, neck, and shoulder areas in a gentle methodical sequence using organic Jojoba oil.
A 45 minute to 1 hour session can be beneficial for anyone who suffers from sinus issues, headaches, eye strain, neck tension, stress, and leaves your skin with a rosy glow, while providing an overall feeling of calmness and relaxation.
Reiki works with the energetic, physical and emotional aspects of an individual to address imbalances on all levels. It helps to restore the body's natural ability to heal and create balance.
Reasons you may want to experience a Reiki session:
General balancing
Clearing emotional blocks
Reduce physical pain
Increasing clarity
Stress relief and relaxation
For your first session, the Practitioner/Reflexologist will ask you to fill out a health record or a client history form to get a basic understanding of your general health and well-being.
This will also give you opportunity to ask questions.
The Practitioner/Reflexologist will then have you lie fully clothed on a therapy table or sit in a gravity chair for the session.
For Foot Reflexology, the Reflexologist will ask you to remove your footwear and socks and proceed to work various areas of your feet.
During a Facial AcuZone Reflexology (FAZR) session the reflexologist will ask you to come to your appointment wearing a tank top, or will provide you with a gown and a hair cover to protect your clothing/hair from organic oils used on the face. You will then lie covered on a massage table while the Reflexologist works various areas on the face, ears, head, neck and shoulders.
For Reiki, the Practitioner will ask you to relax and close your eyes and throughout the session, will place their hands above various points on your body in a sequential method.
During a Foot Reflexology, Facial AcuZone Reflexology (FAZR) or Reiki session, it is normal to fall asleep, feel deeply relaxed or even experience various sensations throughout your body.
Sessions generally last one hour.

Some plans will cover reflexology, however, many plans now have wellness coverage which will cover alterative therapies such as reflexology and reiki. Refer to your plan information booklet/website for more details.
Absolutley! It is quite normal to have spots that are more sensitive than others on your feet. Let your reflexologist know prior to the session which areas are most sensitive and they will adjust accordingly to your comfort level.
Both reflexology and reiki are very individual experiences. In fact, every session that you have could feel completely different from the last. Many clients feel no extraordinary sensations, and feel as they normally do, however, some clients have reported feeling warmth, coolness, goose bumps, tingling, gurgling in the stomach, pulsing, twitching, sighing, yawning, seeing colour (while eyes are closed), feeling deeply relaxed, sleepy, or even fall asleep during a session. There is no right or wrong way to feel, each experience is unique!
I suffer from plantar fasciitis and a fallen arch and with reflexology, I have been able to manage the pain with a natural, non-invasive approach. Not only has it helped with existing medical issues, it helps me to be more in tune with my body. That time to myself filled with peace and quiet is priceless!
Thanks Tammy!

Her hands are for healing and are attuned to the messages my body is sharing. Each session I walk away from leaves me with a deeper and deeper respect for Tammy's depth of connection. To herself yes, to me as a person yes, but ultimately to the subtle messages my feet are sharing. Twice during a session what presented were indicators of what I could expect to experience in the coming weeks. Both times because Tammy was able to recognize what presented and I was able to take preventative measures and ensure that I supported my body in every way possible. UTI’s due to a condition called Interstitial Cystitis (lack of a lining in my bladder) are a regular occurrence in my life. Prescription medication is necessary when it sneaks up, as to prevent it moving into my kidneys. After my sessions and Tammy's noticing, I was able to take preventative measures and avoided the need for antibiotics. Reflexology with Tammy has become preventative medicine and wellness therapy for me.

I thoroughly enjoyed my reflexology experience with Tammy! My sessions with Tammy were my first exposure to reflexology and I was pleasantly surprised with the benefits and relief it provides. Tammy makes the environment very welcoming and it's a great place to relax and forget your worries. I highly recommend trying reflexology with Tammy to help with any troubles you have or to maintain your overall health.
